Charles Purewal is a Canadian author, mentor, and youth coach whose work is inspired by real-life experiences helping young people navigate the challenges of growing up in today's fast-changing world.
Born and raised in the West Midlands, England, Charles moved to Canada at 18 in 1988 in search of opportunity and a better future. Determined to create a different path for himself, he took a leap of faith and started over in a new country, quickly learning independence, responsibility, and resilience.
He later built a successful career as an Insurance Risk Advisor, where he discovered his passion for helping families secure their futures and make smart life decisions.
In 1998, Charles married and soon became a father to two children. As his kids grew, they became deeply involved in sports—particularly competitive boxing and soccer. Wanting to be more involved in their development, Charles began volunteering and eventually became an assistant coach.
"What started as helping with training soon became something much bigger. Young athletes began opening up about school, bullying, confidence issues, and the pressures they faced daily."
Through coaching, mentoring, and life guidance, Charles developed a powerful approach focused on self-belief, discipline, resilience, and open communication. Over time, he witnessed real success as the young people he mentored grew stronger both mentally and emotionally.
These real-life lessons became the inspiration behind his novel series. Charles writes to empower teens, encourage conversations, and remind young readers that they are never alone in their struggles.
